Bride Princess Eugenie arrives for royal wedding

The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank this morning wearing a bold ensemble by the same brand responsible for her own wedding dress – Alexander McQueen.

The McQueen dress, designed by creative director Sarah Burton, featured a pleated waistline and delicately puffed sleeves with an unexpected flash of colour, for someone who usually opts for more subdued shades of cream and navy.

To accessorise her look, the Duchess also wore a matching veiled fascinator designed by Philip Treacy and a pair of classic black pumps.

The Duchess has long been a fan of Alexander McQueen designs, choosing to wear pieces by the luxury British label at a number of royal engagements.

For Kate's last royal wedding appearance, the May nuptials for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, she wore the same pale yellow dress she donned for Princess Charlotte’s christening and Queen Elizabeth II's birthday party.

The Duchess of Sussex's also chose to wear an ensemble by one of her favourite designers, Givenchy – the same label that she wore for her own lavish ceremony at St George's Chapel in May.

Meghan Markle’s choice was more understated than Kate’s bold dress though, opting instead for a navy blue dress, matching heels, a hat designed by Noel Stewart and black gloves.

Princess Eugenie wore a wedding dress designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.
