There was plenty of onstage action from this year's Oscars ceremony – but but everyone knows the real excitement goes on behind the scenes.
Backstage at the biggest Hollywood night of the year, there was a stream of triumphant snaps posted by award winners, photos of unlikely celebrity reunions and, of course, many selfies.
There were also some notable incidents of fan girling, with rapper Awkwafina posing on the red carpet with Big Little Lies star Laura Dern.
"Freaking out," she wrote in the caption, "I love you @lauradern !!".
