Michelle Obama has shared a rare family photograph on Instagram to wish her followers a happy Thanksgiving.
The former first lady uploaded the post on Wednesday alongside the caption: “From our family to yours, #HappyThanksgiving!”
The photograph features all four members of the Obama clan, including the former US president, Barack, and the couple’s two children, Malia, 21, and Sasha, 18.
Michelle is pictured wearing a monochrome summer dress complete with a jagged pattern and wide straps.
Sasha stands next to her mother wearing a formal black strappy dress that features a thigh-high slit while Barack dons a checked shirt and Malia wears a lilac mini dress.

Within just 12 hours, the post has garnered more than 4.3 million likes and thousands of comments, including one from popular American YouTuber Tyler Oakley, who left a heart emoji.
“Have a beautiful Thanksgiving! We miss you all,” commented one person.
Another added: “Such a beautiful family! I miss you being in the White House!”
Thanksgiving is celebrated in the US on Thursday 28 November. It is a national holiday that symbolises peace, thankfulness, and the beginning of the holiday season.
