Spring... into summer with the athleticism of a gazelle. Or at least watch someone else do this at the English National Ballet's Spring Tour. This begins with Ronald Hynd's production of The Sleeping Beauty. The lead roles will be given an assured performance by old-hands, Estonian couple Thomas Edur and Agnes Oaks, who performed in the 1993 premiere season of the ballet. This quintessential fairy tale was created for the National Ballet by Ronald Hynd, with sumptuous sets and costumes by Peter Docherty. Tchaikovsky's score will be played by the English National Ballet orchestra. To 28 February, Manchester Palace Theatre, Oxford Street, Manchester, M1, 0161 242 2503, Oxford, Apollo Theatre, 01865 244 544 (2-7 March), Southampton, Mayflower, 01703 711 811 (16-21 March).
