Getting your children out of bed, dressed and out the door for school Monday through Friday is no mean feat.

From forgotten homework to missing socks and unbrushed hair, there’s seemingly no end to the list of dramas that make up most parents’ morning routine.

However, for one family the mornings are made even more stressful by a father - who insists his wife meticulously helps him get ready for work.

Sharing her concerns on Mumsnet, the mother described how, despite already having three children to get to school, her husband demanded her “full assistance” in preparing for a day of important meetings.

She detailed how she put all of his belongings by the door, including his keys, phone, headphones and some documents she “must let him forget.”

The dutiful wife even hung out his suit and shoes so that she didn’t have to deal with him asking where they were in the morning.

However, despite her best efforts, her husband was still annoyed because he decided he wanted to cycle to work, and therefore required his belongings packed in a bag instead.

“Wouldn't you think that if you could see someone was dealing with three children in the mornings, you wouldn't add to the general rush and stress everyone out by shouting ridiculous questions and demands about things you could easily do yourself?” she asked.

“This is a man who employs hundreds of people, by the way. Does anyone else have this kind of issue with their husband?”

The Internet quickly responded in outrage demanding that the woman stop putting up with this kind of behaviour.

“Tell him to set his alarm earlier and grow the f*** up. Seriously. Don't do a thing for him,” one person wrote.

Another added: “Try reminding him he's actually an adult, not an additional child.”

Responding to the comments, the mother-of-three explained that this wasn’t a one-off and that her husband makes regular demands of her.

“I know 'full assistance' probably sounds like a joke, but he says things like this in all seriousness,” she wrote.

“I realise this obviously sounds crazy to a lot of people, but it is how it is and him saying he needs ‘full assistance’ is quite normal, I'm ashamed to say.”

She concluded by thanking everybody for their replies, of which there are now more than 1,000.
