While fitness influencers might create the illusion that everyone in the gym has a six-pack and bulging biceps, this simply isn’t the case.

In fact, the majority of gym-goers don’t look like personal trainers, but that doesn’t mean we’re not fit, strong and healthy, as plus-sized model Ashley Graham recently pointed out when she responded to a troll.

Graham, 30, was body-shamed after posting behind-the-scenes snaps from a photoshoot she was doing in Dior underwear.

“We thought you work out,” the anonymous troll said.

The American model was having none of this though, replying: “Girls with cellulite and rolls can’t work out also?”

The comment was brought to public attention after popular Instagram account @commentsbycelebs shared the interaction to its 704,000 followers.

“What idiot would say that,” commented one follower. “Voluptuous people work out too.”

“Yes!! I work out four times a week with a trainer,” added another. “Still have rolls and cellulite.”

This isn’t the first time Graham has spoken out about how she enjoys exercising for benefits other than fat loss.

In 2017, the model wrote on Instagram: “Every time I post a workout video I get comments like, ‘You’ll never be skinny, so stop trying,’ ‘don’t work out too hard, you'll get skinny,’ ‘you need your fat to be a model,’ and ‘why would you want to lose what made you famous?’

“For the record, I workout to: stay healthy, feel good, get rid of jet lag, clear my head, show big girls we can move like the rest of ‘em, stay flexible and strong, have more energy.

“I don't work out to lose weight or my curves, because I love the skin I’m in.”
