Calling all chocoholics: Twix has launched a new festive-themed bar and it is guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit.

On Monday, the confectionery brand announced that its latest flavour, Winter Spice, would be arriving in stores across the UK.

The limited-edition offering is made using the same ingredients as a standard Twix with its biscuit base, caramel and chocolate topping.

However, the Winter Spice version comes with the addition of some classic festive flavours including nutmeg and cinnamon.

Commenting on the festive launch Kerry Cavanaugh, marketing director at Mars Wrigley UK said: “Leaves are falling and the nights are getting longer – which can mean only one thing… Christmas is coming.

“Twix Winter Spice is packed full of festive flavour and it’s the perfect treat to tuck into as you sit in front of the fire and get ready for Santa’s arrival.”

Twix Winter Spice is available to buy from a host of convenience stores including Co-op, WHSmith, Wilkinsons and Spar.

Its normal sized bar has a recommended retail price of 61p, while the Xtra version which contains longer fingers has a recommended retail price of 76p.

The company announced the launch on Instagram, writing: “Very excited to announce the launch of our NEW Twix Winter Spice!! This limited-edition bar is exclusive to impulse & convenience stores: @coopuk @sparuk@lovewilko @whsmithofficial and more. Go grab yours now!”

In the comments section, social media users were divided over the launch with some saying they loved the idea of a Christmas-themed Twix.

“These sound wonderful!” one person wrote, while another agreed, adding: “Wow that looks amazing.”

However, not everyone was convinced, with some saying the flavour was not for them.

“I may be slightly biased as I don’t like Twix and hate ‘winter spice’ things with a passion. But I think you’ve dodged a bullet,” one person wrote on Twitter.

Another commented: “Why would you mess with a Twix? Winter Spice Twix sounds vile.”

If you would like to test the new flavour for yourself, you will need to be quick as the Twix Winter Spice is only available for a limited time of 12 weeks.
