François Nars: 15x15

Celebrating the 15th anniversary of his brand, NARS Cosmetics, the creator of the now legendary 'Orgasm' blush has compiled a series of glossy photographs showing celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Amber Valetta, and Marc Jacobs, styled with his products. All proceeds of the €80 book go to charities chosen by the participating stars.

L'Oréal: 100 000 Years of Beauty

The French beauty giant is celebrating an even more significant anniversary, namely that of its centenary, with this special edition consisting of five different books detailing the history of beauty in general and that of L'Oréal in particular. Currently selling the French edition, publishing house Gallimard plans to release the book in English on a grander scale very soon - for the moment, there are only around 600 copies available, selling for €150 each.

Former model and fashion stylist (and sister of Jodie) Jemma Kidd is the owner of a successful make-up brand and has compiled her knowledge on beauty in this new book, selling for around €17. Neglecting the fact that the guide is naturally based on her own products, the 'bible' gives useful step-by-step explanations of how to create a certain look and how to translate seemingly over-the-top creations from the runways.

Written by Bloom Cosmetics founder Natalie Bloom, this book (€25) is more on the unconventional side, featuring illustrations and reflections on all things she considers beautiful, ranging from nature to notebooks, perfumes and Paris.
