Isabel Marant in New York, Ralph Lauren in Paris, Marc Jacobs in Milan and Diane von Furstenberg in Sao Paulo - make a note for your next city getaway.

New York

Few other French designers of the 'younger generation' have a cult following in the US quite as passionate as that of Isabel Marant. Prompted by the fact that it was previously a near impossibility to get hold of Marant's comfortable yet stylish creations stateside, the launch of her SoHo boutique had New Yorkers giddy with anticipation for months.

The opening of the new Tod's boutique in Beverly Hills was by far the most star-studded event, but then again: which place is more star-studded than Beverly Hills? Actresses Halle Berry, Kate Beckinsale, Kate Bosworth, and Jessica Alba as well as musician couple Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale all turned up to fete the Italian accessory label.

London

Ralph Lauren opened his largest European store in the City of Lights this month, which is also home to Europe's first Ralph's restaurant. Designer Karl Largerfeld and the actors Gérard Depardieu and Kevin Spacey all attended the launch, while French Vogue's editor-in-chief, Carine Roitfeld made headlines with an outfit worthy of batwoman.
