Britain’s women have never won a Paralympic basketball medal but optimism is growing that that will all change this summer in Tokyo.

Great Britain narrowly missed out on the podium five years ago in Rio but having collected silver at both the European and World Championships since then hopes are high.

An enforced lack of competitive action over the past year makes progress tough to judge, but there is a belief within the group that the enforced time apart has seen the squad grow in character.
