The International Jazz Festival offers the guitar maestro and vocal artist George Benson as main headliner in the list of 42 international bands showcasing their talent in Cape Town for the 11th edition of its jazz festival. Benson will give two shows at the festival. On the first night he presents "An Unforgettable Tribute to Nat King Cole" with a 28-piece South African Orchestra. With his band, he will close the second day of the festival in a concert dubbed: George Benson: "Greatest Hits."

From April to October, the project Istanbul 1910-2010: The City, Built Environment and Architectural Culture Exhibition is showing the evolution of the city in 100 years thanks to maps, models, drawings and various visual communications devices at the cultural complex Santralistanbul.This exhibition is part of the series of events organized this year to celebrate the European Capital of Culture title given to Istanbul throughout 2010. The cities of Pecs in Hungary and Essen in Germany are also European Capitals of Culture for 2010.
