Fiona Flores Watson

Fiona is a freelance writer and editor who first contributed to the Independent while on work experience at the paper in 1992. She has lived in Seville, Spain, for 20 years, where she works with a wide range of publications and websites including the Times, Telegraph, Food & Travel, and Lonely Planet, and is Consulting Editor of Andalucia.com. Her first travel guide book, Lonely Planet Experience Andalucia, was published in February 2023. In addition to writing, Fiona also does translations, most recently The Book of Sherry Wines, as well as organises cultural events and takes visitors on tours of her adopted city.
