The Office US new season?: John Krasinski would do a reunion ‘in a heartbeat'
As long as the script was solid
The US Office remains one of the most cherished shows in TV history, and it was so consistently good across its nine seasons that there’s definitely an appetite for a tenth or at least a one-off episode.
The good news is one of the major players, John Krasinski - who played Jim Halpert and also directed episodes of the show - is up for doing it.
“I think if anybody had an idea of doing a reunion that made sense and sort of fit together, I’d do it in a heartbeat,” he told The Huffington Post this week.
“I hope so. Listen, I think that again, that was one of those things where for a lot of us, that was the first big thing that we had ever done and so, we were bonded on that show in a whole different way.”
There is clearly lot of love among the cast, and though many of them have gone on to great things (not least Steve Carell), you could definitely imagine them finding the time in their schedules for a new instalment.
Though The Office US already got a reunion, sort of, in its final episode when Michael Scott returned, I could imagine a new episode/season working, perhaps focusing on the fallout from the Dunder Mifflin workers becoming reality stars.
