Strictly Come Dancing 2014: Pixie Lott joins celebrity line-up
Pop star will join Mark Wright and Scott Mills on the dance floor
Pixie Lott has been confirmed as the eleventh celebrity taking party in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The professional pop star and actress, who is likely to have a strong advantage in the dancing competition, joins a celebrity line-up including Scott Mills, Mark Wright and Judy Murray.
The singer confirmed the news in a Vine posted on the official BBC Strictly Twitter feed after teasing the news to her 1.65 million followers this morning.
In a statement, Pixie said: “I'm so excited to be doing Strictly, it's going to be a lot of fun. I always want to push myself as a performer so can't wait to learn the routines.”
The 23-year-old has had two number one singles, with her debut album Mama Do selling over 1.5 million copies in 2009.

Show all 15As a young actress she appeared in the West End production of ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ at the London Palladium and as Louisa von Trapp in BBC One’s ‘Celebrate the Sound of Music’ before embarking on her successful music career.
Pixie joins Frankie Bridge, Judy Murray, Alison Hammond, Thom Evans, Simon Webbe, Mark Wright, Sunetra Sarker, Jake Wood, Steve Backshall and Scott Mills in this year’s battle for the ballroom. Four more celebrities are still to be confirmed.
