The writers of South Park trolled viewers in its latest episode by causing their smart home devices to utter some pretty suspect comments.

Fans watching the premiere episode of season 21, which began in the US on Wednesday (13 September), would have been caught off guard when characters began yelling at their own voice command systems, in turn activating the Amazon Echo and Google Homes belonging to viewers at home.

You can see evidence of this for yourself below.

The Trey Parker and Matt Stone adult animation caused so much havoc for one viewer that they had to unplug their device.

It's unknown whether this was the desired intention, however, considering South Park's irreverence it's easy to assume this was exactly what Parker and Stone were hoping.

The premiere episode, titled 'White People Renovating Houses,' poked fun at the white nationalist movement. You can read our review here.
