Khal Drogo and Khaleesi were reunited at the Oscars.

Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa, who had appeared as onscreen together in Game of Thrones, both attended the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday (24 February).

Momoa posted of photo of the two of them together on Instagram, writing: “So proud of you Emilia Clarke, I love u with all my heart Aloha Drogo.”

The Aquaman actor had played the Dothraki warlord Khal Drogo on the HBO show, a character who Clarke’s Daenerys is initially forced to marry before they fall in love.

Later, Momoa posted a photo of himself with Clarke and his wife Lisa Bonet, captioning the image: “Me and my QUEENS.”

Game of Thrones returns on the 14 April. Clarke will return as Daenerys, while there’s no word on whether Momoa – whose character has been dead for some time – will have a role.

Winners at this year’s Oscars ceremony included Olivia Colman for The Favourite, Rami Malek for Bohemian Rhapsody, Regina King for If Beale Street Could Talk and Mahershala Ali whose film Green Book won Best Picture. Alfonso Cuarón took home Best Director for his Netflix drama Roma.
