Jo Joyner has woken up “gutted” after fluffing a line during her big comeback as Tanya Branning on EastEnders live.
The English actress, who starred in the soap from 2006-13, referred to character Ian Beale by the name of the actor who plays him in a scene from last night’s episode.
“How’s Adam?”, Joyner asked best friend Jane Beale, only to be met by a baffled look on actress Laurie Brett’s face.
Who killed Lucy Beale?

Joyner was meant to be asking after Jane’s husband Ian, but got confused and referred to him as actor Adam Woodyatt.
Social media shows no mercy and, as such, fans were soon reacting to the slip-up on Twitter.
Further on in the show, Ian and Jane Beale married and other live scenes were shot without noticeable errors.
Peter Beale accused his dad Ian and new wife Jane of killing Lucy Beale, insisting that he knew she was murdered in their house, while Dot Cotton confessed to killing Nick Cotton. It was all very dramatic.
The mystery of “Who killed Lucy” will be solved tonight, having gripped the nation Broadchurch-style for weeks.
Tuesday’s episode also sparked confusion when viewers could not make out whether actor Jake Wood, who plays Max Branning, had said “you” or “who” in a crucial line about Lucy.
“She knows, she knows, whether you killed Lucy,” he mumbled to Abi Branning when discussing his other daughter Lauren’s return, later clearing up debate on his personal Twitter account.
EastEnders returns for two episodes this evening at 7.30pm and 9.25pm on BBC1.
