Dog The Bounty Hunter is planning to return to TV while the search for Brian Laundrie continues

Dog The Bounty Hunter, real name Duane Lee Chapman, is planning to return to TV as he continues his chase for Brian Laundrie.

Chapman is a former reality TV star and bail enforcement agent, otherwise called a “bounty hunter”, who starred in A&E’s Dog the Bounty Hunter for eight seasons.

According to Variety, ThinkFactory Media is currently working with the television personality on pitching the new show, which is believed to follow Chapman’s everyday life and other escapades.

The show could presumably include his current manhunt for Brian Laundrie, who went missing after the tragic disappearance and death of his fiancé Gabby Petito.

Chapman joined the search for Laundrie in late September, claiming he had more than 1,000 leads and vowing: “I will find him.”

Petito’s remains were found in Wyoming, near where the couple was last seen together.

Last month, a federal court issued an arrest warrant for Laundrie “pursuant to a Federal Grand Jury indictment related to Mr Laundrie’s activities following the death of Gabrielle Petito”.

In Chapman’s previous shows, he was usually seen with his bail enforcement team composed of family and friends who would learn about an individual who skipped out on a court appearance, violating the conditions of their bail agreement.

Chapman and his team would then track down the individual, often by interviewing neighbours, acquaintances, and family members of their target.

After confrontations with the targets, Chapman and his family were filmed driving their targets to jail.

During the drives, Chapman would often counsel the individual, challenging them to correct their lives, frequently by appealing to the well-being of their loved ones and through Christian evangelism.
