Netflix TV series Bloodline was one of the darkest new dramas of last year.

Focusing on the return of the Rayburn family's black sheep Danny (Ben Mendelsohn), the Florida Keys-set series started out a relatively laidback affair before slamming the pedal to the metal for its second half.

If you haven't caught up, now is the time - season two's just landed on Netflix.

The season picks up where the first left off with John (Kyle Chandler), Meg (Linda Cardellini) and Kevin (Norbert Leo Butz) attempting to restore their lives after the irrevocable act Danny's actions forced them to commit.

Sissy Spacek returns as matriarch Sally as do Mendelsohn, Chloë Sevigny and Jacinda Barrett. Jumping on board for the show's ten-episode season are John Leguizamo and Andrea Riseborough who both play shady characters from Danny's past.

Bloodline was created by Todd A Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman - the team behind legal thriller Damages.

Other Netflix originals set to return over the coming months include Orange is the New Black and BoJack Horseman.

Mendelsohn will next be seen playing Empire military director Krennic in Star Wars prequel Rogue One.
