Album: Bobby Whitlock, Where There's a Will There's a Way (FDR)
Anguished-sounding Tennessee singer/keyboards player Whitlock followed Eric Clapton from Delaney & Bonnie into Derek and the Dominos.
This CD collects his two solo albums from 1972, with Clapton, George Harrison and Klaus Voormann among the Home Counties rock royalty. There are a few too many Southern boogies and country parodies, but the exquisite acoustic ballads (mostly from Whitlock's first album) make up for it.
