System of a Down’s ‘Chop Suey’ nailed by 5-year-old girl in YouTube drum video

When I started playing drums aged about 12, the mark of distinction among my peers, for some reason, was always being able to play System of a Down.

I guess it was their big showy fills, and it was with a sense of immense pride that you eventually managed to sloppily make your way through ‘Toxicity’.

Well that pride was entirely misplaced because Eduarda Henklein is nailing tracks by the band aged just five.

A ton of videos of the tiny drummer are on YouTube but this is proving by far the most popular, seeing her play ‘Chop Suey’ with near perfect timing, singing along at times and occasionally offering a stern yet incredibly cute glance to camera.

Part of a ‘Girls On Drums’ series, it’s nice seeing females’ drumming abilities being celebrated, when so often these sorts of YouTube videos feature men/boys.

“This is System of a Down and I like them very much!!!,” Eduarda wrote on YouTube. “Long Live Rock 'n' Roll.”

Head to her channel to see her playing other tracks, including Metallica's 'Enter Sandman'.
