From The Weeknd to Louis Tomlinson: All the major rescheduled music tours for 2021 and 2022

Some artists are still hoping they’ll get to perform for fans this year, while others have postponed world tours to 2022

While the landscape for live music in 2021 is still uncertain, many artists and event organisers are taking the plunge and announcing shows for later this year and next.

Among the festivals to announce plans to take place this summer are Reading and Leeds, Parklife, All Points East and Standon Calling – you can see the full list here.

Meanwhile, a number of major and up-and-coming artists have rolled out either rescheduled or brand new dates for their own tours, including The Weeknd, IDLES, Louis Tomlinson, Elton John, Celine Dion, Rag’n’Bone Man, Tom Grennan and Guns N’ Roses.

Here are the (current) scheduled dates for major tours announced so far. We’ll be updating this article as more announcements come in, and if any changes to schedules are made.

Guns ‘N Roses – June 2021

The band are still hoping to become the first ever music act to play the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, as part of their rescheduled summer tour.

My Chemical Romance – June 2021

Their much-hyped comeback was somewhat deflated by the pandemic forcing mass cancellations of live shows, but MCR are hoping to go ahead with their shows from 15-22 June, including three nights at the Milton Keynes stadium.

Lady Gaga – July 2021

After releasing her sixth album Chromatica in May 2020, Lady Gaga is planning to perform just one show in the UK this year, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on 30 July.

Yungblud – August 2021

Yungblud has managed to keep busy despite lockdown, releasing a new album and entertaining fans with The Yungblud Show online. He’s currently hoping to greet fans in person with his rescheduled Occupy the UK tour, now taking place in August, September and October.

Louis Tomlinson – September 2021

The solo artist is doing a short run of headline dates, including two nights at the Roundhouse in London. “It's going to be special when we are back to it,” he recently posted on Instagram.

Tom Grennan – September-October 2021

The Evering Road singer announced UK headline tour dates for September through to October earlier this year. Tickets are on sale now: the tour includes Grennan’s biggest-ever headline show to date, at the 10,000 capacity Alexandra Palace, which is currently lined up to take place on 30 September.

McFly – September-November 2021

After their rapturously received comeback this year, McFly are planning to entertain fans with some live shows at arenas in Cardiff, London, Manchester and more.

Elton John – from October 2021

The Rocketman is hoping to continue his massive Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour towards the end of this year, including a whopping 10 nights at the O2 Arena in London plus performances in Liverpool, Dublin, Birmingham and Manchester.

Rag’n’Bone Man – October-November 2021

Following on from his record-breaking 2017 debut, Human, Rag’n’Bone Man is preparing to release the follow-up, Life By Misadventure, on 7 May. This will be supported by an autumn tour including dates in Liverpool, Leeds and Glasgow, closing with a night at the Eventim Apollo in London on 6 November.

Bon Iver – October-November 2021

After releasing their album I,I last year, Justin Vernon’s band will (hopefully) arrive in the UK and Ireland this autumn, to perform fan favourites including “Hey, Ma” and “Faith”.

Craig David – April 2022

The Born to Do It star has rescheduled his run of arena shows to next year, kicking off in Nottingham before performances in Birmingham, Plymouth, Brighton, London, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Hull.

Pet Shop Boys – May 2022

The Eighties pop legends have moved their postponed Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live tour to May next year, with plans to launch in Newcastle on 20 May before concluding things in Hull at the end of the month.

Eric Clapton – May 2022

The rock artist has a number of rescheduled tour dates for his European tour next year, including two nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The Killers – May 2022

After releasing their latest album, Imploding the Mirage, The Killers are planning to tour nine arenas in the UK and Ireland next year. They will be joined at certain venues by guest artists Blossoms, Sam Fender, Manic Street Preachers and Supergrass.

Celine Dion – May-June 2022

The iconic singer moved her highly anticipated tour from 2020 to 2022, starting in Birmingham on 25 May and concluding with two nights at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on 8-9 June.

The Weeknd – October 2022

The “Blinding Lights” singer moved his massive After Hours tour to 2022, including the UK and Ireland dates beginning in October and concluding with a final night at London’s O2 Arena on 16 November.
