Paul McCartney to tour the US this spring
Paul McCartney is set to tour the US, according to a February 22 announcement, with concerts in late March in Arizona and Los Angeles so far on the roster. Presales for the two shows begin on February 23, followed by a public on-sale date of February 28.
Just two dates and venues have so far been announced for McCartney's "Up and Coming" Tour, although the tour announcement says the tour will be "extensive" and that additional dates will be posted on McCartney's website (www.paulmccartney.com). The tour will include Beatles and Wings songs as well as music from the artist's solo career.
On Sunday, March 28, McCartney will perform at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona; two days later, he will bring his show to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. McCartney's performances with the Beatles at that venue in 1964 and 1965 were recorded for a 1977 album.
A presale began February 23 for fan club members and American Express customers. General ticket sales begin February 28 at 10:00am PST; at www.ticketmaster.com, tickets for the LA show go on sale that day, while Arizona tickets are available 24 hours later. Tickets for the Arizona show run from $50-250; for the Hollywood Bowl, they'll go for $50-350.
