Barbra Streisand has taken the wheel in the latest edition of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.
Despite being one of the few people to achieve EGOT status (winner of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award), Streisand – who has starred in films including Funny Girl and A Star Is Born – reveals she recently failed to renew her driver’s license three times due to nerves in the driving seat.
Talking about her well-documented stage fright, Streisand says she doesn’t get nervous anymore, adding: “I don’t enjoy it. I just don’t want to disappoint people.”
Not that she has nerves here – alongside Corden, she belts out hits such as “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough),” and “The Way We Were” taken from the 1973 film of the same name.
Streisand also shared a story about the time she grew frustrated with Siri pronouncing her surname incorrectly, so phoned Apple’s Tim Cook and requested he fixed it. When she sees Corden’s shock, she adds she once contacted Steve Jobs when she had a problem with her computer, only to have the Apple co-founder "blame it on Microsoft."
To cap this edition of Carpool Karaoke, Streisand and Corden sing her anti-Donald Trump song “Don’t Lie To Me” before the singer takes on a Cardi B song.
