At The Drive In reunite for new shows
They previously said they wouldn't tour Relationship of Command anymore
At The Drive In said back in 2012 that their show at London’s Brixton Academy would be their last, but today we learn of a new show that could be the first date in a major tour.
Legends of post-hardcore (am immediately firing up Relationship of Command for a 2586th listen), the band’s return was announced quite unassumingly in a Facebook post by Ohio’s Rock On The Range festival, where they will share a bill with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megadeth and more.
In fact, the news even comes as something of a surprise to the band themselves. ATDI guitarist Jim Ward confusingly told the local newspaper in the band’s native El Paso simply: “Let me know what you hear.”
At The Drive In’s last live show was pretty shambolic, but let’s hope they can summon the entry of that infamous Jools Holland performance:
