New to the blogs is electro-experimentalist Zola Jesus, who claims the number one position in the Hype Machine's most blogged artists chart on June 30 after releasing the first track from her second album, Conatus, due out October 4. Also debuting in the top ten is Pallers, an electro-pop duo from Sweden.

Zola Jesus is the stage name of 22-year-old Russian American singer Nika Roza Danilova, known for her broody, industrial sound. Her latest track, "Vessel," is "full-throated and daunting, wailing her way out of a sonic cocoon of filthy synths and filthier beats," describes blogger Disco Naïveté (disconaivete.com). The track "hints at another growth spurt by Zola Jesus, harboring Danilova's emotions in a chamber of post-Reznor electronica," adds blogger Awkward Sound (www.awkwardsound.com).

Pallers are set to release their debut album, The Sea of Memories, on September 27. To generate buzz, the two teased the first single from the new album, a track called "Come Rain, Come Sunshine" that is "very hypnotic and is enhanced by the lazy-day vocals," according to blog Boom Boom Chik (boomboomchik.com).
