Letter: Spoiling for a vote
Sir: In the recent elections in Wales and Scotland each elector had two votes, one for a human being and the other for a party list. In the European elections we are only to be allowed to vote for a list.
I object to this impersonal and centralised system, so when I vote I will indicate my preference for individuals rather than my preferred party. This will result in my vote being spoiled. I hope many thousands of people will so spoil their papers to demonstrate opposition to this monstrous system.
