Letter: Can I be a refugee?

Sir: As a pensioner couple, we were very interested to read the letter (28 October) regarding grants payable to asylum seekers. The Government has promised a minimum pension of pounds 75 per week. How can British pensioners become asylum seekers, and obtain a rather better deal?
