Mission: Impossible - Fallout

The cast for the seventh Mission: Impossible film has been officially assembled.

Tom Cruise will return as Ethan Hunt two more times following the acclaim of Mission: Impossible – Fallout and, as ever, he’ll be backed up by an impressive cast.

The latest cast member to announce their return to the franchise is Simon Pegg, who’ll play Benji Dunn for the fourth time.

“I have another Mission: Impossible to start next year,” he recently told Canadian TV show Out City Tonight.

But, who else will star in the film? Rebecca Ferguson will be back as MI6 spy Ilsa Faust, but there will also be a host of new faces.

Nicholas Hoult has joined the fray alongside Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham and Avengers: Endgame star Pom Klementieff.

Christopher McQuarrie will direct the seventh and eighth instalments, the first of which will be released on 23 July, 2021.

Mission: Impossible 8 will be released the following year leaving many to expect a huge cliffhanger at the end of number seven.

The first ever Mission: Impossible, directed by Brian De Palma, was released in 1995.

This year, Cruise will star in Top Gun: Maverick, a sequel to his 1986 blockbuster.
