Liam Gallagher bags first film role

Liam Gallagher is set for his first movie role.

The Oasis musician will star alongside 90s dance DJ Guru Josh in a film version of Kevin Sampson's novel Powder.

The DJ's website said: "Producer author Kevin Sampson has asked Guru Josh to play in the movie of his best-selling novel Powder - Guru Josh will act as himself alongside co-star Liam Gallagher."

The entry continued: "Is the world ready for Liam Gallagher and Guru Josh together on the silver screen?"

The Sun says Liam will begin preparations for the film once Oasis have finished touring in August.

The plot follows a band who turn to sex and drugs after hitting the big time.
