The 10 films featuring the most swear words have been revealed in a new survey.

More than 3,500 film scripts were analysed by Buzz Bingo in an attempt to uncover the ones with characters who use the most number of profanities.

The director who crops up most is Martin Scorsese, who has a grand total of two films in the list.

Other directors whose movies make an appearance include Kevin Smith, David Ayer and Spike Lee.

Perhaps surprisingly, just one Quentin Tarantino film made the top 10 – the earliest movie to feature on the list (find a compilation of every F-word in the director’s films here).

Meanwhile, the most recent film to make the list is Uncut Gems, which was released in the UK on Netflix earlier this year.

Find the top 10 films with the most swear words below.

1. The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) – 715

2. Uncut Gems (2019) – 646

3. Casino (1995) – 606

4. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001) – 509
