Emma Stone’s Cruella de Vil in the new prequel to 101 Dalmatians has been revealed by Disney for the first time.

Described as an origin story for the iconic Disney villain, explaining how she developed her hatred of dogs, the film, which is currently shooting, stars Stone as a young Cruella in 1980s London.

The actress can be seen in a leather ensemble and sporting Cruella’s iconic two-shaded hair, while taking hold of three dalmatians on a leed in the first picture unveiled at yesterday’s D23 Expo, a major Disney fan event held in, Annaheim California. .

Surrounding her are I, Tonya actor Paul Walter Hauser and British actor Paul Fry, who will play her minions Horace and Jasper.

Cruella, which will also co-star Emma Thompson, is directed by Craig Gillespie.

It was scripted by a number of different writers, including Jez Butterworth, Kelly Marcel and Aline Brosh McKenna.

However, it is not set for release until May 2021.
