Rather touchingly, a sick fan got to see Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice weeks before passing away thanks to the film's director Zack Snyder.

Batman superfan Barry was granted his dying wish to see the film, which is released worldwide this Friday (25 March), weeks ago.

A Facebook page named Batman4bazz was set up in the hope that the film's producers would take notice and, incredibly, they did.

This follows last year's popular campaign to get a terminally ill Star Wars fan, Daniel Fleetwood, to see The Force Awakens before he died - something director JJ Abrams made happen.

While cancer sufferer Barry's wish wasn't as widely publicised as Daniel's, it speaks volumes about everybody working on the superhero mashup - chief of all Snyder - that they reached out to his family.

The New York premiere of Batman v Superman occurred yesterday evening (20 March) with both Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in attendance.
