Pete Davidson rang in the new year with a stand-up show in Boston, according to reports.

A source who attended the show told E! News that the 25-year-old comedian joked about subjects including his ex-fiancée Ariana Grande, as well as some fellow comedians.

“Here’s the thing about the breakup song,” he told the crowd, referring to Grande’s hit “Thank U, Next”, which refers to him. “Usually breakup songs you know who it's about but you don't really know. That G named all of us,” he told the crowd. “Bam. She named all of us. And then, tells us, yeah, he has a big dick.”

Davidson also discussed Louis CK, who admitted to accusations sexual misconduct in November 2017, and made a controversial return to the stage just a few months later. CK caused further uproar this week, after making jokes about the Parkland shooting survivors and calling Gen Z kids “f***ing boring”, with particular contempt aimed at those who wish to identify as gender neutral.

“I got a Harry Potter tattoo,” Davidson apparently said. “Then the next day Alan Rickman the guy who played Snape died, and I was like, oh, what a weird coincidence.

“Then I got a Willy Wonka tattoo. Next day—Gene Wilder dies. Now I'm like, alright, that's a coincidence, that's weird. So, I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of Louis C.K., what do you guys think?”

Davidson reportedly added: “That joke used to be about Aziz Ansari, but Aziz has been nice to me recently.”

The SNL cast member, who has been open about his issues with mental health, caused concern two weeks ago when he wrote a worrying note on Instagram and then deleted his account.

“I really don't want to be on this earth anymore,” Davidson wrote. “I'm doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don't know how much longer I can last. All I've ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so.”

It was later confirmed that he had turned up to film SNL as scheduled, and has since appeared in public with friends and on stage.
