It's not every day that you can boast about being on Jelly Baby cleaning duty. But that was the situation yesterday for a worker at London's Marble Arch, where Italian artist Mauro Peruchetti's glossy sculpture Jelly Baby Family is on display.
Peruchetti claims the work "embodies the unity of family and the multicultural aspect of modern society that is so prevalent, especially in London".
The artist says his figures, which have previously gone on display at London's Medici Gallery, represent his interest in human cloning. Other work has included an anatomically graphic sculpture of a naked woman's body superimposed on Michelangelo's David.
At over three metres tall, the Jelly Baby figures will be marvelled at by thousands of commuters. Hopefully none of them are feeling peckish.
