King’s Cross St Pancras is officially London’s most stressful Tube station.

The Zone 1 London Underground stop topped a list that included Bank and Monument, Stratford and Waterloo.

The results were compiled by PowWowNow, which created an index based on the number of people entering and exiting stations, negative and neutral social media mentions and total length of delays in minutes.

The index is out of three, with King’s Cross scoring 1.9.

It was the busiest Tube station, with 97.92 million people entering and exiting over the course of 2017, plus came 17th out of 268 stations in terms of delays – it clocked 1,853 minutes of delays between November 2017 and October 2018.

During 2018, the station had 144 negative or neutral mentions on social media.

The most delayed station was Acton Town in Zone 3 of London, with a total of 4,432 minutes of delays. The North London Zone 4 station Arnos Grove came in second place, with 3,843 minutes, while Stratford station was third with 3,473 minutes.

In terms of negative comments, Bank and Monument saw the most mixed and negative mentions on social media (394), with Victoria taking second place (162).

On the other end of the stress spectrum, the three least delayed stations were all on the Central line.

The Zone 4 station of Barkingside in East London saw only 17 minutes of delays, followed by Redbridge (19 minutes) and Roding Valley (22 minutes).

London’s most stressful Tube stations are almost all in Zone 1, barring Stratford (Zone 3) and Canary Wharf (Zone 2).
