An Emirates flight to Dubai had to make an emergency landing in Kerala when a passenger became sick and later died.
The 59-year-old Indonesian man, onboard flight EK 359, was flying from Jakarta to Emirates’ home city of Dubai .
The plane was diverted to Cochin International Airport in Kerala, southern India, due to the medical emergency.
According to the Khaleej Times
It’s understood he died of a heart attack.

An Emirates spokesperson confirmed to The Independent : “Emirates can confirm that flight EK 359 from Jakarta to Dubai on 1 February was diverted to Cochin due to a medical emergency.
“The flight re-departed with approximately one hour delay. Emirates apologises for any inconvenience caused to our passengers for the delay.”
Last month The Independent reported that a man had died onboard a Hong Kong to Auckland flight . The plane diverted to Cairns, Australia.
