Eddie Hearn says Anthony Joshua rematch location could change boxing forever

Tyson Fury has said he is supporting Anthony Joshua in his re-match with Andy Ruiz Jr - so that he can arrange a fight between the two Brits.

Joshua is set to take on Ruiz once again on December 7 in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, six months after the Mexican caused one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight boxing history by ending Joshua's unbeaten record.

Fury, who is also preparing for his first experience in WWE, insists he wants Joshua to get his career back on track with victory so that the two can fight each other, but admits that he will willingly take on Ruiz himself if not.

"If Deontay [Wilder] loses in November against Luis Ortiz, I would take the winner of AJ vs Ruiz Jr in February or March," Fury told Good Morning Britain.

"I hope he [Joshua] gets his belts back because it makes a massive fight between me and him. But if he doesn’t then I will just have to go and beat up Andy Ruiz Jr.

"They have both lost quite a bit of weight and I think it will be a fantastic fight, the first one was although it did not go the way everyone was expecting.

"These big upset-rematches are always great to watch."

Fury's immediate attention however will be on his fight with Braun Strowman in the WWE arena in Saudi Arabia on October 31, while he waits for Wilder to defend his WBC crown against Ortiz on November 23.

Fury has already clashed with Strowman in the last fortnight, with the two involved in a brawl in the ring on WWE Monday Night Raw, with security staff initially struggling to contain the situation.
