Premier League transfer news: How Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and more could line up after deadline

The Premier League top six could look a lot different when it all kicks off again in earnest this weekend

Transfer deadline day is upon us with Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United expected to be busy.

It's been a record-breaking summer already with Manchester City, United, Tottenham and Arsenal all breaking their club records to bring in new faces while Chelsea, even with a transfer ban, have seen plenty of change.

Spurs could splash yet more cash before the 5pm deadline on Thursday with their north London rivals also hoping to welcome at least two new faces as well.

It all means the Premier League top six could look a lot different when it all kicks off again in earnest this weekend.

Here's what they could like:

Manchester City

A possible Manchester City line up (Buildlineup.com)

The champions return the deepest squad in the Premier League with two headlines additions only making that group stronger. Rodri looks a shoo in to start from the off with Joao Cancelo likely to make an impact early on too. I'm ready to be wrong but I don't expect Scott Carson to challenge Ederson for the No 1 shirt but stranger things have happened. No wait, they haven't.

Liverpool

A possible Liverpool line up (Buildlineup.com)

The Reds won't look too different to the team that ran City oh so close a year ago after Jurgen Klopp chose to keep his powder dry this offseason. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Gomez's return to fitness is an undoubted boost however while much is expected of Naby Keita in his second season at Anfield.

Chelsea

A possible Chelsea line up (Buildlineup.com)

With a transfer ban hanging over them you'd be forgiven for thinking the Blues will look much the same this coming season. But Frank Lampard's arrival and the exits of Eden Hazard and David Luiz will give this side a fresher feel. Christian Pulisic will push for a starting berth from the off while Callum Hudson-Odoi showed more than enough last year in flashes to be given serious consideration for more time this term once he's fit again. The back four looks a weakness, however, with the returning Kurt Zouma likely to be forced into action early and often in Luiz's absence.

Tottenham

A possible Tottenham line up (Buildlineup.com)

It's all change at the Lane with Tottenham splashing the cash once again after a two-year hiatus. Tanguy Ndombele will be a force in the middle and could well be joined by Giovani Lo Celso in a new-look midfield two. Ryan Sessegnon will push Danny Rose for minutes on the left side of defence too. Oh and Paulo Dybala. He'll probably get a game too if Spurs can pull off the unthinkable before the deadline.

Arsenal

A possible Arsenal line up (Buildlineup.com)

The Gunners have had a fun window shattering their transfer record for another attacking player when they were crying out for defensive ones. £72m man Nicolas Pepe will start, as will loan arrival Dani Ceballos. Kieran Tierney slots as an immediate upgrade at left-back while David Luiz, for all his slapstick faults, joins him as already the best central defender in the squad.

Manchester United

A possible Manchester United line up (Buildlineup.com)

United spent all summer negotiating for a number of players only to end up paying the selling club's asking prices anyway. That said, the big money additions of Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka immediately improve a back four in desperate need of improvement while Daniel James will add some dynamism out wide. Maybe Ed Woodward has one more trick up his sleeve and Bruno Fernandes, who they have tracked all summer long, comes in before 5pm.
