Theo Walcott could be set for a shock transfer to Liverpool this summer, according to reports.

The Daily Star have reported that the Arsenal forward is currently unsettled at the Emirates, having lost his starting place in the side.

The report adds that Liverpool are known admirers of the 27-year-old, who still has three years remaining on his deal with Arsenal.

Walcott has been used more of a subsitute this season, with Oilvier Giroud leading the line. In recent matches he has also lost his place on the wing to Alex Iwobi.

The Gunners are next in action today, when they host Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Manager Arsene Wenger is expected to recall Petr Cech for Sunday's Premier League visit of Crystal Palace having retained David Ospina in last week's 3-3 draw at West Ham.

The manager said he is yet to take a decision on which goalkeeper he will select, but could also consider recalling Per Mertesacker given Palace's aerial threat and that he acknowledged that weakness to his team at West Ham.

Aaron Ramsey came on as a substitute and is also in contention to start, but Jack Wilshere (leg) and Tomas Rosicky (thigh) are not yet ready despite featuring for the under-21s. Santi Cazorla (Achilles) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) remain unfit.
