Transfer deadline day summer 2019: The deals done so far

Manchester United are still short of Leicester City's valuation for Harry Maguire, but the aim is for a deal to be done this week.

The 2016 Premier League champions value the player at £80m but are willing to do a deal at £70m plus add-ons, but it is understood that United are still around £10m short of that.

More negotiations will take place this week and the feeling is that a deal will be done, given Manchester City - who also like the England centre-half - are currently reluctant to properly enter the race.

Maguire has informed Leicester of his desire to go to United, and the club will respect his wishes so long as their valuation is met.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted that United will not be bullied into paying inflated fees for transfer targets.

“We’re still in the market and looking to do some business,” Solskjaer said at the start of their pre-season tour in Australia.

“We’re patient and we’re Man United, we don’t have to sell and we don’t have to overpay either. You want the right players for the right price.”
