We round-up the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumours

Any hope of Matthijs De Ligt joining Liverpool appears to be over.

Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have all been chasing hard to secure the services of the Ajax captain this summer while the Reds were also linked with a big money move.

But Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf now suggest that it is Juventus who have won the race for the 19-year-old.

They say De Ligt is about to put pen to paper on a five-year deal that will pay him upwards of €15m a year.

He'll join Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot as new signings for the Serie A champions.

Elsewhere reports in France claim that Liverpool are monitoring former player Philippe Coutinho.

The former Liverpool man has endured a miserable year-and-a-half at Barcelona and wants to quit the Camp Nou this summer.

And Le10 Sport say Liverpool remain in the hunt for their former star, with the Brazilian set to be available for far less than the £136m they sold him for two seasons ago.

Coutinho has been linked with a move to Chelsea while Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move.

Manchester United have upped their interest in reported Reds target Bruno Fernandes and want him on board in time for pre-season.

The Portuguese international is set leave this summer after a record-breaking season in his homeland with some of Europe's top clubs lining up to sign him.

Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with interest in recent weeks.

But Portuguese newspaper Record report it's United who lead the race suggesting that the 24-year-old is "most likely" to end up at Old Trafford.

Rumoured target Sandro Tonali has been urged to rebuff any advances and stay put at Brescia for at least another year.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs including the Reds after an impressive season last term.

But boss Eugenio Corini feels another year at his club would be best for his development.

"For Sandro, it was a very important season because he always played. He was at the centre of a team that won the league. He experienced strong emotions and he knew how to tame them.

"I hope I can have him available, he must finish the process of development, but I understand the clubs who are following him. But he still lacks a year in Serie A where he can play regularly."

Rafael Camacho’s father has admitted that the 19-year-old winger could leave the club this summer.

The teenager began his career at Sporting and could return to the Portuguese side.

“Sporting is a good possibility,” Camacho Snr said. “Rafael played there for eight years. Going back to a club that you know well would be a bit like coming home. He knows the club, people know him and this could be an advantage.

“There’s another great club [interested]. We know that they are also following this situation closely.

“As with the case of Sporting, it would imply the return to Portugal, which is something that we would welcome.”

One deal that seemingly won’t be happening this summer is the departure of Divock Origi.

The Mirror reports that Belgian forward Origi will be going nowhere in this transfer window, even though this runs the risk that Liverpool will lose him for free next year. The 24-year-old enjoyed a remarkable renaissance at the club last year, producing at crucial times in the Premier League and Champions League.

The forward is understood to want more first-team football in the long term, but is prepared to spend another season with the European champions.

A deal that has been confirmed is the departure on loan of Sheyi Ojo to Rangers.

The winger will be the third Liverpool loanee to link up with Steven Gerrard in Glasgow, following loan spells for Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria last season.

Rangers captain James Tavernier is excited at the prospect of playing with the Liverpool man, telling Rangers TV he has “heard some good things” about him and declaring that the youngster has already impressed since arriving in Scotland.
