Liverpool triumphed 5-2 against Everton in a thrilling Merseyside derby to retain their eight-point lead in the Premier League title race.

The game started in frantic fashion with Divock Origi opening the scoring after just six minutes. Xherdan Shaqiri then doubled the lead before Michael Keane pulled one back for the Toffees.

Origi then struck again before both Sadio Mane and Richarlison scored in stoppage time to complete a thrilling six-goal first half.

However, the goals then dried out, though, with both sides spurning chances before Georginio Wijnaldum wrapped up victory in the dying moments of the match.

While Liverpool remain unbeaten, the defeat leaves Everton teetering in the relegation zone with Marco Silva's sacking now feeling inevitable. Here are our ratings from the match:
