Raheem Sterling

The final double gameweek of the season is upon us but the way the fixtures have fallen is unfortunate, with no single team having a stand-out pair of games.

Manchester City arguably have the toughest two of all - a reunion with Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad and a trip to Old Trafford.

Even so, Raheem Sterling is an obvious pick. Still only owned by a relatively modest 20% of managers, Sterling followed one Premier League brace with another in Europe this week.

Lucas Moura

City’s conquerors, Tottenham, also have a double gameweek, welcoming Brighton to their new stadium after their return to the Etihad.

Harry Kane remains unavailable, which makes Lucas Moura - scorer of a hat-trick last time out against Huddersfield - an option in midfield.

Moura, who was substituted with nine minutes remaining of the Champions League epic, will particularly fancy himself to be among the goals again for the visit of Brighton.

Raul Jimenez

One of the most valuable fantasy assets of the season, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Raul Jimenez, is another in double gameweek action.

Jimenez has not scored in three league games but offers more than just goals and strike partner Diogo Jota is another to keep an eye on this weekend.

Wolves host a Brighton side who seem to be in disarray then welcome Arsenal to Molineux. Unai Emery’s side infamously do not travel well.

Aymeric Laporte

Returning to City, and focusing on their defence, Aymeric Laporte has a superb record in double gameweeks this season.

Laporte earned his owners 20 and 18 points in gameweeks 25 and 32 respectively, which arguably makes him an unorthodox captaincy option.

But if he is to maintain his streak of double-digit double-gameweek returns, he will need to avoid the kind of errors which led to Son Heung-Min’s two goals on Wednesday night.

Gerard Deulofeu

Watford probably have the best double-gameweek pairing of any side, starting with a trip to Huddersfield before Southampton visit Vicarage Road.

Gerard Deulofeu did not start in Monday’s defeat to Arsenal with ankle injury though will be in line to return if Javi Gracia confirms he has recovered.

Troy Deeney’s suspension means a spot has opened up in Watford’s side and Deulofeu has tended to start as a forward when his captain is unavailable.

Honourable mentions: Angus Gunn, Craig Cathcart, Nathan Redmond, Diogo Jota, Andre Gray.
