Thai cadets forced to smash smartphones

We’ve all been caught using our mobile phones at work. The immediate response is to swiftly put it away in a pocket and wait until the coast is clear.

But for these navy cadets in Thailand, the tried and technique did not work; and they faced a bizarre punishment.

Footage has emerged showing the cadets taking a concrete block and smashing their phone to pieces.

It has been reported the punishment had been created by teachers at this particular school, and does not follow standard Navy rules. The school has been ordered to stop this form of punishment.

It is unclear who recorded the video, but presumably, it was with a phone.
