Chrissy Teigen has revealed that she does not agree with Bernie Sanders ’s criticism of the “corporate wing" of the Democratic party and finds his supporters "insufferable".
On Wednesday, Teigen used Twitter to address the Democratic presidential candidate, after he retweeted a Politico report about centrists gravitating towards Elizabeth Warren as an alternative to himself.
“The cat is out of the bag. The corporate wing of the Democratic Party is publicly ‘anybody but Bernie,’” Sanders wrote, blaming his progressive agenda of Medicare for all and plans to take on drug companies.
In response, Teigen said: “This is not a good tweet.”
The model then followed up with another tweet, informing Sanders she was not the only one who disagreed with his viewpoint.
“You’re getting a lot of sh*t from this, even from people that like you,” Teigen wrote. “That says something.”
In the comments, Teigen defended her stance, explaining that Sander’s supporters are a large part of the reason she would probably not vote for the Democratic candidate.
“Bernie supporters will be the downfall of Bernie,” she said. “I don’t even hate him, but you guys are absolutely insufferable. Do him a favour and stop being so combative against democratic criticism.”

She also said the senator's supporters have a "magnificent ability to completely turn off undecided voters" like herself.
In April, Teigen revealed that she “loathes” one of the 21 Democratic candidates running for president.
“I absolutely love four of these people. Loathe one,” she wrote in response to a tweet from CNN naming the candidates. “Still open to hearing more from the rest! That’s all I know for sure.”
At the time, people speculated Teigen was referring to the Vermont senator.
