Fast food giant KFC has launched its own brand of sunscreen that smells just like fried chicken this week and it’s already sold out.

The move follows the June launch of an ad campaign starring George Hamilton as the “Extra Crispy Colonel,” promoting the chain's Extra Crispy Chicken.

Some 3,000 tubes of fried chicken-scented sunscreen were snapped up in two hours Monday in a promotion for KFC's extra-crispy recipe.

The product still acts like a sunscreen with a SPF 30 rating while the scent leaves you “smelling delicious,” according to the company’s website.

“We’ve had a lot of fun with our Extra Crispy Colonel campaign this summer and the sunscreen idea seemed like a natural fit,” a KFC spokesperson told Fortune.

“Our chicken is hand breaded and freshly prepared in our kitchens all day every day, which makes the smell in our restaurants unparalleled. The Extra Crispy Sunscreen is a fun way to leverage that with our fans.”

Unfortunately for KFC fans based in the UK, only US residents could apply for a bottle of the Col. Sander’s Extra Crispy Sunscreen by visiting kfc.com/extra-crispy-sunscreen.

This is the second time that KFC, which is owned by Yum Brands, has expanded its interests in the beauty world.

In May, it took it took its “finger lickin’ good” slogan to new extremes by creating edible fingernail polish.

The nail polish was created by advertising firm Ogilvy & Mather and food technicians at McCormick, the company behind KFC’s spice and herb mix. It is available in bright orange and nude colours at KFC Hong Kong.
