Florence Pugh’s brother shared message of support for his sister prior to the Oscars, saying he feels “extremely proud”.

On Sunday evening, Pugh missed out on Oscar when she lost the Best Supporting Actress award to her Little Women co-star Laura Dern.

Before the star-studded show commenced, Pugh’s brother, 27-year-old Toby Sebastian, expressed his pride over his sister’s achievement on Instagram.

The actor, who starred as Trystane Martell in HBO’s Game of Thrones, shared a throwback picture of himself with Pugh, taken when the the pair were young children.

“This little creature on the left is getting ready for her Oscar night. Wow,” Sebastian wrote in the caption.

“Go @florencepugh... so extremely proud.”

Clinton Pugh, the siblings’ father, commented underneath the photograph, writing: “What a shot! Beauties! Just like yesterday.”

Another Instagram user wrote that they were “absolutely buzzing” for Pugh, adding: “Your entire family must be so proud.”

Pugh attended her debut Oscars wearing a teal Louis Vuitton gown, accessorising with a silver pendant necklace with a red jewel.

She was pictured embracing Scarlett Johansson on the red carpet, with whom she stars in the upcoming Black Widow film.
