Fortnite and Avengers are about to reveal a huge new crossover to celebrate the launch of Endgame.

Little has been revealed about the mysterious tie-up, but it seems clear that the Avengers are about to invade the new game.

The update will arrive on Thursday, 25 April. That is the same day the film will be released.

The collaboration was teased by a tweet from the official Fortnite account, announcing the update but not explaining how it will actually work.

"Whatever it takes," the tweet read, alongside the date and an image that seemed to show Captain America's shield.

Other pictures appeared to show Thor's hammer. That may suggest the two weapons – and perhaps more – could be on their way to the game.

It is not the first time that Avengers has crossed over with Fortnite. Last year, to celebrate the release of Infinity War, Thanos unexpectedly arrived in the game – as a result of a tie-up between the two companies that happened almost by happy accident.

"This collaboration started as a simple phone conversation between Epic and Marvel over a mutual appreciation for Fortnite and Avengers," developers said then. "We worked closely over the following weeks to bring these two worlds together and landed on the Limited Time Mashup, Infinity Gauntlet. When we saw the movie last weekend, which was incredible, we were even more excited.

"This is a collaborative experiment between friends from start to finish. Jump in tomorrow, play and experience Fortnite x Avengers. It’s unlike anything we’ve done before and we want to know what you think!"
