For those in search of a shopping haven where clothes, coffee, and a perfectly-coiffed hairdo are available under one roof, you might want to head to Birmingham this week.

On Thursday 11 April, Birmingham Primark will open its new flagship shop, which will be home to a Disney-inspired café, restaurant, and beauty studio.

The shop, which will be the retailer’s largest store to date and its 187th in the UK, spans five floors across 160,000 sq ft.

Customers in need of quenching their thirst will be invited to take a break from shopping at the retailer’s in-house Mezz restaurant, a Primarket Café (which will give back five per cent of every kilo of coffee sold to the coffee bean growers), and a café with a Disney-themed menu and interactive game zone.

For those looking for a pamper, experts from beauty studio Duck & Dry Xpress x Primark will be on hand to offer head-to-toe treatments, while Mills x Primark barbers will cater to men in need of a slick cut, wet shave and facial.

Meanwhile, Harry Potter fans will even have the chance to step into Hogwarts wizarding world with themed clothing, accessories and gifts inspired by the film franchise.

A custom lab will also provide customers with the chance to benefit from bespoke, personalised T-shirts. Meanwhile, a personal shopping service and free WiFi throughout the shop will also be available.

With eco-conscious shopping increasing at the forefront of many consumers’ minds, the shop will also champion a recycling scheme and invite customers to recycle pre-loved clothes and shoes from other brands. There will also be several water fountains located in the shop and the chance to purchse bottled water sold in recyclable packaging.

Primark is the latest retailer hoping to maximise on consumers’ increasing desires to shop for beauty, fashion and food in one shop.

Meanwhile, Selfridges on London’s Oxford Street is home to Daniel Galvin hairdressing salon as well as the Hemsley+Hemsley café, courtesy of home cooks Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley.

Speaking about the opening, Primark’s Director of New Business Development, Tim Kelly says: “Our customers can expect a great experience at Primark Birmingham High Street. They can spend time with friends and family, eat great food, recharge and have fun, and find everything under one roof including Fashion, Beauty and Homewear – all at an amazing price.

“We’re proud to bring this great store and everything it has to offer, to Birmingham.”

Birmingham Primark opens on Thursday 11 April at 10am.
